Join a 2-part somatic workshop where you can meet other queer and trans folks who are working on surviving the holidays as relatively embodied and centered people. We will meet over zoom to learn a variety of somatic practices derived from generative somatics and the resilience toolkit that can support us in caring for ourselves and strengthening our self-responsiveness. Topics and themes will include:
- Boundaries with family
- Pronoun conversations and misgendering woes
- Managing multiple people’s needs
- Staying centered under pressure
- Nervous system soothing
- Leaning on support networks
- Resilience practices
- And more...
Sessions will include time for discussion and connection with fellow participants. We’ll ground our explorations inside the challenging social, racial, and political contexts we are all inhabiting. All levels of experience with somatics are welcome.
